The workshop is sponsored by the National Science Foundation through grant DEB 11-18815.
Grants-in-aid up to $500 are available to graduate students and postdocs who wish to attend the workshop and meeting. To apply, please send your CV, a short statement (200 words maximum) about how the workshop fits with your research interest, and a letter of recommendation to L. Lacey Knowles at [email protected]. Symposium and Software School focusing on New Methods for Phylogenomics and Metagenomics, May 18-19, Ann Arbor, MI
Travel awards (supported by NSF) of up to $500 are available to graduate students, postdocs, and faculty who wish to attend the software school and symposium. To apply, please download and fill out the application form and send it and your CV (including list of publications) to Tandy Warnow at [email protected]. If you are a graduate student or postdoc, please ask your advisor to send a letter of recommendation to the same email address. All emails should be sent with subject "Travel Award Request". (If you do not receive an email confirming receipt, please send it again.) Applications submitted by April 1, 2015 will receive full consideration; awards will be announced by April 15, 2015.
Computational Macroevolution: Analysis and Visualization of Complex Evolutionary Dynamics on Phylogenies
A number of travel awards (up to $500) are available to defray the cost of registration and housing while attending the conference and this workshop. Applicants to the Computational Macroevolution workshop should email Dan Rabosky ([email protected]) with a brief statement indicating your career stage (e.g., 3rd year PhD student), and a single paragraph that describes why you would like to attend and your previous experience with R and command line programs. Applications must be received by March 20, 2015.
