In addition to its annual joint meeting with the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE) and the American Society of Naturalists (ASN), SSB will be holding its first ever standalone meeting at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor May 20-22. Participants will explore the latest advances in phylogenetic approaches and interact through workshops, hackathons, and topical discussions. This meeting includes sessions organized by iEvoBio, as well. Registration for the meeting has closed, but participants may still register to present open source software at the software bazaar. For more information, look at the program and workshops. Also note that there is a pre-meeting Symposium and Software School focusing on New Methods for Phylogenomics and Metagenomics from May 18-19.
